Irish BMW owners try new 6 Series and M3

11 February 2004: Over 100 Irish BMW owners or potential owners were brought to Rockingham Speedway in England this week to get behind the wheel of two of the marque's most desired cars - the new 6 Series and the M3 CLS.

The event was a preview of the 6, which arrives in Ireland next month in both coupe and cabriolet form at €108,400 and €120,000 respectively.

BMW Group Ireland's Michael Nugent says up to 50 of the high-powered luxury cars will be sold in Ireland this year, provided enough supplies will be available.

He also said there are 'firm orders' for the M3 high-powered coupe, which sells in Ireland for around €120,000.

At Rockingham - the first purpose-built motorsport facility built in the UK for 40 years - the Irish prospective buyers were also able to try out the newly-upgraded X5 SUV on a challenging offroad track.
