147 GTA for Ireland next year

11 October 2002: The Alfa 147 GTA we saw at the recent Paris Motor Show will be in Ireland early next year, and is likely to be the opportunity for a rerun of the famous Hannibal Run by which the original 147 was introduced to Irish motoring journalists.

The body of the Alfa 147 GTA retains the original vehicle's lines, but the engine has been swapped for a 3.2 V6 24v unit as has already been experienced in the 156 GTA.

The suspension geometry and settings have been altered, and a highly sophisticated vehicle dynamic control system - VDC - has been added as standard.

The engine outputs 250 bhp and can accelerate in 6.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
