TT will continue to build in Hungary

16 August 2004: Audi has decided that its TT luxury coupe and roadster models will continue to be built in Hungary in their next generation, due for introduction in three years' time.

This is bad news for the workforce at Audi's Neckarsulm plant in Germany, which will lose production of the A2 when it is discontinued in 2006.

The Gyor plant in Hungary also builds engines for Audi and other models in the VW Group.
