One of the most recognised names in the world 4x4 market, Isuzu’s Trooper comes straight into the rural/luxury end of the market, with a range of powertrain, trims and specifications denoted by Imperium, Executive and Meridian labels. The 3-litre turbodiesel engines are tough and reliable, and if a Trooper can’t get through a particular terrain, it will be very difficult indeed. Trooper doesn’t have the same popular recognition impact, or the very latest technology, but it gets the job done. There’s also a bit of a problem in that it hasn’t changed much for a long time, but that is something which only the image-conscious will worry about.
