Bristol unveils Fighter

1 May 2003: Bristol Cars have unveiled a brand new car, the Fighter, which will sell in Britain for £229,125.

The car is powered by a 525bhp V10 engine and is capable of more than 200 miles an hour, with a 0-60mph possibility of 4sec. Bristol claim the car will achieve over 20mpg.

In style it shares design features with aircraft, high-speed missiles and even submarines. Gullwing doors are another feature

Aluminium is extensively used inside and out.

Bristol began life as the Bristol Aeroplane Company and diversied into car production in 1946.
