19 February 2004: Jack Hennessy from Clouncagh, Ballingarry in Co Limerick is the proud owner of a very special car after winning the nationwide Ford 'Centenary Service' promotion recently. Jack collected his prize from Martin Condon, dealer principal of Cavanaghs of Charleville, with whom he has been getting his cars serviced for over 20 years.
A keen showjumper and member of Clonshire Riding Club in Adare, Jack works with Ballygowan Waters in Newcastlewest. He was entered into the national draw to win a limited edition Ford Fiesta 'Centenary' on foot of having his 1995 Ford Mondeo serviced at the dealership last October.
The service team at Cavanaghs are delighted at this prize going to such a valued customer," explains Martin Condon. 'Not only has Jack been driving a Ford for over 20 years, the Hennessy family have been Ford customers for close on 60 years. By any measure Jack is a worthy winner of the centenary prize."
The Fiesta Centenary is a special model introduced to celebrate 100 years of Ford in 2003. Featuring luxuries like an in-dash CD autochanger, sunroof and seductive Panther Black metallic paint, each car is individually numbered. Only 100 have been produced, with Jack receiving the final one.
