2 October 2002: Children in the front seats of cars are more likely to be injured in a side impact than those in the rear, according to a study conducted in the US.

The research, led by Dennis R. Durbin, Department of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, evaluated more than 5,600 incidents involving children under 16.
