14 October 2003: The Citroen C3 won the prestigious World Car Award at the recent 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The prize is awarded at international motor shows by a jury made up of around 30 motoring journalists from around the world. It is based on criteria relating to technology, the environment and international safety standards. The vehicles are also assessed in terms of their design and production quality.
This is the third time Citroën has claimed the trophy since it was created in 1991. The Xsara Picasso took the prize in Paris in 2000 and the C5 in Geneva in 2002.
The Citroën C3 range retails in Ireland from €15,100.
