Citroen C3 prices announced

6 May 2002: The new Citroen C3 range of cars will be available in Ireland powered by three petrol engines with two derivatives of the 1.1i engine, a manual and an automatic offering in the 1.4 and a 1.6 110bhp. In the autumn, the new high performance and economical 1.4 HDi engine will also be available.

The C3 is now previewing in all Citroen showrooms throughout the country, with entry prices from 14,800 euros (delivery and related charges extra).

Standard equipment will include power assisted steering, automatic activation of hazard warning lights, 6-speaker RDS stereo radio/CD, electric front windows, and four airbags. Also available across the range is ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and emergency braking assistance (EBA) which compensates for some driver’s reluctance to brake with consistent force in an emergency.

Prices for the C3 are 1.1i petrol LX 61bhp 14,800 euros, 1.1i petrol SX 61bhp 15,520 euros, 1.4i petrol SX 75bhp 15,820 euros, 1.4i petrol Automatic 75bhp 16,920 euros, 1.6 16 V petrol 110bhp 18,200.

Options include metallic, pearlescent and black paint at 320 euros and manual air conditioning at 850 euros. An electric full size glass sunroof will follow later in the year at an extra 750 euros.

The C3 comes with two years warranty.
