Citroen 'dream' concept for Paris Show

11 September 2002: A 2+2 coupe concept that combines stunning sports styling with a light, bright and spacious interior will be a highlight on the Citroen stand at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.

The panoramic glazed roof of the C-Airdream allows light to flood into the passenger area, and both rear seats can be folded, making the vehicle more versatile by offering additional luggage space.

The C-Airdream also features drive-by-wire design, highlighted by the absence of pedals and gear lever which are replaced by steering wheel-mounted controls for the accelerator, brake and gearchange functions. In addition, a centrally-located navigation and information screen is controlled using a ‘mouse’ at the end of a broad central armrest. A vehicle dynamics controller offers continuous control of the various electrical components affecting the vehicle dynamics.

The car is equipped with Citroen’s Hydractive 3 suspension system, while power is provided by a 3.0i V6 engine which is capable of developing 210hp and is mated to a sequential auto-adaptive automatic gearbox.
