16 November 2001: The latest figures for LCV registrations covering the ten-month period January-October 2001 will must come as good news to the optimistic economic commentators.

Registrations dropped just 4.6% on the result for the same period of 2000, from 38,311 to 36,547. Sales in October declined by 10%, from 2,340 last year to 2,092 in October this year.

The Top Ten in the LCV market for October 2001 were Ford 403; Fiat 254; VW 254; Citroen 210; Nissan 165; Mercedes 146; Renault 118; Peugeot 104; Mitsubishi 93; Toyota 85; Seat 72.
