D-C release crossblade as production car

8 February 2002: DaimlerChrysler launched its concept two-seater concept crossblade as a production vehicle. The vehicle has no roof or doors and instead of a windscreen it features a narrow wind deflector.

It was first revealed at last year's International Motor Show in Geneva and has a turbo-charged engine with an electronically limited top speed of nearly 85mph.

It will be available in the UK in July at about 21,700 euros. Only 2,000 individually numbered versions of the car will be sold.
