Daewoo reveals new concepts

25 November 2002: AGM Daewoo has revealed two new concept cars – the Oto SUV and and the Flex MPV (above). They represent GM Daewoo’s vision of the future where escape from ever increasing congestion will drive lifestyle features and flexibility within the cabin, helping to retain the enjoyment of motoring. The cars were unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show. 

The Oto represents a unique combination of sports coupe and sport utility vehicle (SUV).  Flex is a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV); with its flexible seating arrangements it is ideal for the growing family and is fully equipped with the latest information technology systems.

Oto has an interior is designed for maximum flexibility. In addition to its versatile seating, passengers can optimise interior space by folding in armrests and other convenience features when not in use. Operations such as starting the engine, opening and closing doors, and operating audio-visual systems via a pop-up wide screen, can all be activated with a simple, single remote control.  And using the latest information technology systems, Oto delivers navigation with live traffic information directly to the instrument panel.  

Flex combines next-generation transportation and the latest information technology systems with MPV space and style. Equipped with a V6 common-rail diesel engine, the Flex is futuristic and stylish, with a long wheelbase, spacious cabin, and tall windscreen. The interior features many home comforts - users can not only receive satellite navigation and up-to-date information on traffic conditions but also enjoy a wide range of entertainment.
