Europe's largest Fiat/Alfa dealersship opens

29 April 2002: Airton Motor Centre, Europe’s largest, most modern Fiat/Alfa Romeo motor service centres was officially opened in Dublin last week by Tom Kitt TD, Minister for Labour, Trade & Consumer Affairs. Airton Motor Centre is located on the increasingly busy Airton Road in the rapidly expanding suburb of Tallaght and has 30 service bays to cater for both cars and light commercial vehicles.

The new 5m euro facility at Airton Road is designed to give owners of Fiat and Alfa Romeo vehicles access to the fastest and most efficient servicing in Ireland, and many customers who leave their vehicles in for service in the morning will have them back by lunchtime the same day. There is also a 25,000 sq ft showroom dedicated exclusively to new and used Fiat LCVs.

The operation is run by managing director Glenn White and fellow directors Padraic Mooney and Richard Murphy, who saw the need for a specialised facility, with over 24,000 Fiat and Alfa Romeo vehicles currently on the road in Dublin.

Fiat Auto Ireland M.D. Michael Howe said that Airton Motor Centre represented ‘a view into the future’.
