Fiat group model changes programme

06 May 2003: By 2004, the Fiat Auto group will have facelifted or completely changed its complete model line, in a programme begun with the Alfa Romeo GTV (above) and Spider last month.

Next month will see a changed Punto, while the Alfa 156 and 166 will see their final revisions in September and November respectively.

In June of 2004, the first and only revision of the Fiat Stilo will be seen before the car is completely changed for 2006, and the same month will see a rejigged Multipla.

The Alfa 147 gets its mid-life facelift in July of next year,

The moves are a reversal of Fiat policy over the last 15 years of not having mid-cycle revisions for its models.
