16 November 2001: Ford Ireland has introduced a new limited edition model based on the Fiesta van. The Fiesta XRV is powered by the TDDi Lynx 1.8 turbo diesel injection engine, delivering a power output of 75PS.

On the outside it sports 14" Zetec alloy wheels, along with a spoiler. Inside is a partial leather steering wheel and aluminium effect instrument cluster. An ICE 3000 radio/cassette with removable control panel is fitted as standard, as are power steering, drivers airbag and tinted glass.

"There is an increasing demand among companies for vehicles that can mix working duties with appealing styling and driving quality," says Ford Ireland boss Eddie Murphy. "The Fiesta XRV answers this demand with added features not normally associated with a van."

The Fiesta XRV retails from £10,967 (EUR 13,926) incl. VAT.
