12 November 2002: Four more cars are to receive the Euro NCAP 5-star rating following the completion of the latest round of crash tests by the body. They are to be revealed at a press event in Rome on November 26.

The latest cars to gain the coveted top rating - the Renault Laguna II was first, and was earlier this year followed by the Mercedes C Class - include the first small car to achieve the result.

All the cars tested will be unveiled in a display in the Piazza del Populo after the press conference. Models tested in this phase include executive cars, family cars, small family cars, super-minis, large MPVs, small MPVs, large SUVs and small SUVs.
