Ford donates books to children's hospital

07 November 2002: During a recent press presentation of the new Ford Fusion urban activity vehicle, Ford of Ireland arranged for journalists testing the car to visit a bookshop in Naas, Co Kildare, and exchange tokens for books to be donated by the company to Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin.

Pictured at the subsequent presentation of the books are Tony Conlon, Chairman, Irish Motoring Writers' Association; Martin Canniffe, Regional Manager, Henry Ford and Son Ltd; in-patients Thomas Sweeney, age 10, Tuam, Co. Galway and Kim Stoat, age 3, Cobh Co Cork; and Dera Mulholland and Claire Vaughan, Hospital Play Specialists.

The books collection was Ford's way of demonstrating the agility of the Fiesta-based Fusion in an urban shopping situation.
