Ford confident of Fusion sales

27 February 2003: Ford of Ireland is forecasting a total sales of 1,500 Fusion cars for 2003, following sales of 450 of the vehicles in January.

In addition, the Fusion Plus which - as reported already on IrishCar.Com - will debut next week in Geneva will be available in Ireland from June.

The car combines exterior enhancements including larger wheels with unique alloys, full body kit and special front grille treatment, as well as dark-tinted ‘privacy’ glass.

The car’s optional entertainment system has DVD, CD and MP3 capability, including a ceiling-mounted DVD console, infra-red headsets that do away with tangled cables and allow freedom of movement, and ports to connect with almost every type of game station on the market.

Fusion Plus is available in a choice of 3 engines: 1.4 (80PS) and 1.6 (100PS) Duratec petrol and 1.4 Duratorq TDCi (68PS) common rail diesel.
