19 May 2003: Lismard Autoworld in Portlaoise has been appointed Main Peugeot Dealer for the Laois area following the retirement several months ago of Joe Dooley, Dealer Principal at Dooley Motors, Mountrath.

Local businessman, Donal Morrissey is the selected Dealer Principal, who will be aided by his two daughters, Lisa and Sandra, who both have Marketing Degrees. Donal is already well known in the Laois area as proprietor of Mount Wolseley Hotel, Golf and Country Club and owner of the Lismard Business Park, Portlaoise.

He has been a Hyundai Dealer since last year.

The new Peugeot Dealership premises is based in the Lismard Business Park. The new building will comply both with Peugeot’s new international Customer Retail Outlet requirements and the desire to offer a far more comfortable and relaxing environment in which customers can choose their new car.

The 10,000 sq ft outlet will be finished by late summer, making it one of the first five of its kind in Ireland.
