5-star MPV a joint success

1 May 2003: The first full-size MPV to gain five stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests has shared its kudos between the three brands under which it is built as a joint venture.

They are the Peugeot 807, the Citroen C8 and the Fiat Ullysse.

The European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) is operated by an independent consortium, backed by the European Union and the FIA (International Automobile Federation).

It has been carrying out safety tests on cars since 1997

Key to the passive safety elements in all three vehicles are the two multistage front airbags, two side airbags, and two window bags, which protect side passengers sitting in all three rows of seats.
