Norman Pratt Rally this weekend

3 May 2002: The Kells-based Irish Celtic Old Vehicles Owners Club is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. On Saturday members take to the road on the Norman Pratt Run in aid of the Meath Hospice Home Care Unit.

Our picture shows David Hamill, James Allen, Donal O’Sullivan (PRO), Jimmy Reilly, and Hugh Doyle (Chairman). The Club covers the midlands area, and according to Donal O’Sullivan, who hails from Bonestown, Dunshaughlin, has a membership of 140, with 500 vehicles.

Norman Pratt was a founder member of the Club who died suddenly on the inaugural run. On Saturday the run commences at the Hill of Tara, where he passed away. It then takes in Boliver, his home town, eventually winding up at the Old Darnley Lodge in Athboy.
