Opel cuts insurance costs
29 July 2002: Opel Ireland is offering substantial discounts worth as much as 1,200 euros towards insurance.
The offer, being made through participating Opel Dealers between now and 30 September 2002, gives buyers of new Corsas 1,000 euros and new Astra buyers 1,200 euros in discounts towards the cost of their insurance cover.
Motor insurance here in Ireland is, on average, double the cost compared to the rest of Europe," says Iede Aukema, Managing Director Opel Ireland "and although there may be a lot of thinking going on about it, there’s very little action to be seen in rectifying the punitive premiums here. So we think that Opel’s contribution is most opportune in helping to soften the hardship of such unacceptably high insurance premiums.”
