Opel to unveil 4-seater concept at Geneva

25 January 2002: A sporty Opel monocab design study called Concept M will have its world premiere on the General Motors stand at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Standing 63.7 inches (1.62m) high – taller than Astra and Corsa – the vehicle provides ample space for four passengers.

It also features a 1.6 litre 150PS natural gas turbo engine in combination with the Easytronic automated manual transmission fitted in some Corsa models.

The concept has a top speed of 125mph.

Some 159.4 in (4.05m) long, 70 in (1.78m) wide, Concept M also bears some of the style cues of the Signum2, and design features from the upcoming Vectra GSi hatchback.

Concept M's cockpit features a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), allowing the driver to regulate the heating and air conditioning, and access the Internet as well as a monitor to display all the information the driver might ever need about the car's performance and status.
