Internet sold Signums in advance

30 May 2003: Opel used an internet campaign to raise awareness of the new Signum model in the weeks prior to its European launch. And by launch date, 6,500 visitors to the site had already committed to buying the Vectra-based vehicle.

In just six weeks, 65,000 visitors requested Signum information from the site.

It was the first time that Opel advertised a new car before its launch, and marketing director Rainer Treitz said they were 'very pleased with the response'.
