09 October 2003: Opel's new Vectra station wagon will be in Ireland shortly, completing the model's range here.
The fourth independent model of the third generation Vectra follows the classic Vectra saloon, the sporty Vectra GTS and the innovative Signum and brings Opels 50-year long station wagon tradition up to date.
The Opel Vectra station wagon will be available in Ireland with a four-strong range of engines from 100 to 155 bhp. The 1.8 (122 bhp) petrol engine is joined by the 2.2-litre petrol direct-injection unit (155 bhp) plus the 2.0 (100 bhp) and 2.2 (125 bhp) turbo diesel engines. Next Spring a new 1.9 CDTI with 110 kW (150 bhp), combined with a maintenance-free Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system, will also be offered.
Power is transferred either by a five-speed or six-speed manual transmission, a five-speed automatic or a CVTronic (Continuously Variable Transmission). Options include a remote controlled power tailgate, a swiveling trailer hitch and an extensive range of comfort and safety features.
