Peugeot launches new small van

25 April 2003: Peugeot have launched their new 206 1.1 litre petrol car derived van in Ireland, highlighting it as a more viable option for first time vehicle buyers who face increasing vehicle running costs.

Based on Europe’s best selling model in 2002, the new 206 van offers customers all the comfort of the hatchback and a high level of standard specification.

The new Peugeot van shares the same specification as the 206 Look passenger car model, including a driver’s airbag, electric windows, power steering, a height adjustable driver’s seat and steering wheel, remote control central locking and steering wheel mounted controls for the stereo & in-dash CD player.

Alloy wheels and sports seats add a sporty flare to the new Peugeot van. The latest 1.1 litre van is an addition to the highly successful 1.4 HDi turbo diesel version and Peugeot believe they will attract two different types of customer in doing so.

Customers who need a stylish load lugger can opt for the bigger engine to suit their business needs, whilst the 1.1 van may suit first time buyers who are restricted to what they can buy due to the ever-increasing cost of motor insurance and tax.

Peugeot has pitched the new van at a retail price of E13,995 plus delivery pack, which has an ex-VAT price of E11,857 plus delivery.
