17 February 2004: The cheapest car to repair in the British market is the Ford Ka, according to the latest survey by independent warranty provider, Warranty Direct.

The survey was based on cars aged between 3-10 years old.

Ka owners paid an average £86.49 bill for each visit to the shop. At the other end of the scale, engine failure on the World Rally inspired Subaru Impreza pushed it to an average of £1,623.
