Car tracking service goes 24-hour live
23 July 2001: A strategic alliance between Vehicular Tracking System providers RMD Distribution Irl Ltd and Freightwatch International now offers 24-hour monitoring of all vehicles in Ireland which use the system.
RM's V-TracK is a PC based Vehicle Security and Tracking System. In the event of attempted theft, excessive speed, hi-jack or communications request by the driver, the system will make contact with a suitable person through the use of a pre-programmed call alert cycle of up to eight numbers.
RMs new alliance with FWI will enable the user to programme the number of the latter's Call Centre into its call alert cycle and thus ensure that someone is at hand to deal with any calls the car may make on a 24 hour basis, 365 days of the year. With its headquarters in Dublin, FWI provides international security solutions and has developed a unique European GPS Security Management Capability. This allows users to exploit the full potential of GPS as an effective risk management tool.
The RM systems has received approvals and testimonials from key players in the motor industry such as the AA, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Opel and Citroen. For further information on the RM V-TracK and FleetTracK systems call 1850 76-2-227 for a free CD or visit the company's website on www.rmdistribution.ie.
