16 July 2002: MG Rover has enhanced its award-winning Rover 75 range with the introduction to Ireland this month of the new Rover 75 Elite.
The special edition Rover 75 Elite crosses the full range - Classic, Club and Connoisseur - and in an otherwise dull summer, promises to heat up the competition in the executive saloon and fleet market.
Car buyers can sample extras such as automatic temperature control, vehicle intelligence pack, CD autochanger, alloys, halogen headlamps, front fog lamps and headlamp powerwash. Club and Connoisseur models also come equipped with an electric sunroof and electric folding door mirrors. Selected models have cruise control. The value of the extras is between ¤3,000 and ¤4,000.
The Rover 75 1.8 Classic will be available at ¤29,500.
"The Rover 75 introduced new standards to the luxury saloon market when launched in 1999. Now with our new competitive price for the Rover 75 1.8 Classic and hi-spec Rover 75 Elite range, we have created without doubt, the most affordable and best equipped car in its class", said John Donegan, Marketing and Commercial Director, MG Rover Ireland.
