New Peugeot will expand small car range

03 November 2003: Peugeot hope that an upcoming small car will give the brand a premium place alongside BMW’s Mini.

The Pininfarina-designed car will have motor-operated sliding doors and will be based on the Sesame concept first shown at Paris last year.

It will be smaller than the current 206 but is expected to sell for a higher sticker price than the car that achieved best-seller status across Europe.

The car will extend Peugeot’s small-vehicle offerings, with both the 207 and 107 replacements for current cars due to roll out in 2006 and 2005 respectively.
