Liana takes to the Aerio with 2 litres

10 January 2002: A 2-litre Suzuki Liana with a 141bhp output? Well, that's what the company is introducing to the US market in the American version of the car, called the Aerio over there.

The vehicle also sports boosted styling details, including side skirts and a reconfigured front end. A 'sport crossover' version is also to be offered, and there will be a 4WD Aerio in September, which Suzuki says will be the cheapest AWD vehicle in the US.

The Aerio will sell from 'well below $14,000' with its 2-litre power unit. In addition to the hatchback familiar here, there's also a saloon version available in the US.
