Diesel power for Liana

31 December 2003: The Suzuki Liana will be available in diesel form in May.

The engine will be the 1.4-litre HDi unit developed by PSA Peugeot-Citroen and currently used in Ford's Fiesta and Cutroen's C3.

The move reflects an 'eggs from different baskets' policy by Suziki, which is also to use the Fiat/GM Multijet diesel in its Ignis.
