09 October 2003: Toyota Ireland has won the Internet Advertising Award at the 2003 Esat BT Golden Spider Awards. The awards recognise excellence in the Irish Internet Industry.
This is Toyota Ireland's second Golden Spider Award having previously won the Marketing Excellence Award.
The Internet Advertising Award was for Toyota Ireland's Assured Used Car Campaign. Toyota dealers update their used stock through Toyota's online administration site, and their entire stock is automatically uploaded/updated to participating internet sites sites in one single entry.
The comprehensive search facilities on www.toyota.ie include 1500 used cars from all manufacturer brand names.
The system generates on average 200 emails and 250 phone calls a month. On average a Toyota Dealer sells five used cars a month from website leads.
"This helps dealers reduce administration while still further exposing their used car stock," says Dave Shannon, Managing Director, Toyota Ireland.
