Toyota introduces 5-door T-Sport Corolla
26 November 2002: A 5-door version of the Toyota T-Sport Corolla is aimed at broadening the customer base for the derivative to give owners with family-carrying needs a bit of sporty performance.
The car is powered by a 189bhp, 1.8-litre engine with VVTL-i and a six-speed manual gearbox.
The T Sport features Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC) and Brake Assist, as well as up-rated suspension and brakes, 16-inch alloy wheels and a unique T Sport interior treatment – red Optitron instrumentation, carbon-fibre trim and supportive sports seats.
No price or availability for Ireland yet. The 3-door T-Sport sells here for E28,775, has a 0-60mph of 8.4sec, and delivers 34mpg.
