3 August 2001: The Volvo V70 has won the Auto Express 'Best Estate' section of the magazine's annual awards. It's the second year running the big wagon has taken the title.

The judges also commended the Volvo S80 in the 'Executive Car' category.

These are the latest in a list of Volvo successes: the V70 also won the Diesel Car magazine 'Diesel Car of the Year Awards 2001', while the smaller V40 was runner up. The V70 was also What Car's 'Estate Car of the Year', and won the 'Estate Car' category in Fleet World's awards. BB
